Your Odin’s screen, after selecting all the files and ticking and not-ticking the checkboxes, should look like this:
Double check everything said in step 10 and 11 above. Also, Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes should be selected too. Make sure the ‘Re-Partition’checkbox in ODIN is selected. Click the PIT Tab, and select s1_odin_20100512.pit (from step 2). Click the CSC Tab, and select 5 (from step 3.2). Click the Phone Tab, and select MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_5 (from step 3.3). Click the PDA Tab, and select CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_5 (from step 3.1). Now, in Odin, select these files at respective tabs ( for visual help, see the screenshot at step 11 below):. Make sure you’ve drivers installed if not then follow these links (‘ 32 bit (x86) Windows | 64-bit (圆4) Windows’). If you don’t get “Added! !” message, than probably there is a problem with drivers. You should get the message “Added! !” under the Odin’s message box in the bottom left. Open Odin (from step 5) - Odin3 v1.7.exe. Now, put the Galaxy S in “Download Mode” - press and hold these keys together: Volume_DOWN+Home+Power until a screen saying ‘Download Mode’ comes up. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off. Disconnect your phone if it’s connected to PC. Download Odin PC Software which we will be using to flash the XXJVU Android 2.3.6 ROM on Galaxy S. Extract the downloaded file ‘I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.rar’ to get these 3 files:. Also download this PIT file: s1_odin_20100512.pit. Filename: I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.rar. Flash the above downloaded file from your custom recovery. Before you install Google Now check if voicesearch.apk is installed, if so rename to. Method 2 : Automatic Install via GNow Handlebars Once the installer is up, the rest should be self explanatory, if not just follow the prompts. Select “Install GoogleNowforICSInstaller_v1.0.zip”. Select “GoogleNowforICSInstaller_v1.0.zip”. 
In addition to above requirements, you would need a custom recovery such as ClockWorkMod or TWRP If you have a device that has a ARM V6 skip to method 3 (Chances of it running ICS are very low, unless hardworking devs take it up, yes P350! ) If you’re not into doing it from recovery, you may follow the alternative method 2 given after method 1.
